You'll have to work out how to tactically vote in your area, obviously. https://stopthetories.vote can help with that.
Voting with pencils and the "nothing to stop your vote being altered using an eraser" conspiracy theory.
Why pencils?
1. You can leave them in a box for a year and it won't dry out.
2. When you fold the ballot, wet ink can transfer and make a second "x" (invalidating your vote).
To change your vote, someone would need to open the ballot box, which is why candidates are allowed to add seals to the box and inspect them before counting.

I hate leaderboards. I think competition tends to corrupt the incentives people have to contribute to a goal. Yet, at the same time, I was delighted to see that I was the top mapper in the whole of Aotearoa New Zealand. For one specific week in December. They say golf is a good walk spoiled. […]

In the late 1800s, when steam ships were replacing sailing cargo ships, one of the last roles for the sailing ships was to carry coal around the world to supply ports where steamships wanted to go. A clean technology was essential to enable the growth of a dirty technology. And even today, fossil fuels aren’t magically just everywhere. A gigantic *** 40% *** of global shipping is just moving fossil fuels. So eliminating fossil fuel also drastically cuts global shipping emissions. #climate #ships
