@davebiff @beasts took me several readings to work out "bigv" is "all their vps" as they haven't called it bigv on the website for years.
I found the email hard to read, and tbh the way it's phrased as a support ticket and link to non-bytemak website made me wonder if their support tickets got hacked. I assume it's legit, but who knows!?
@davebiff @beasts that's not the same wording as mine - its the same apart from the date and some extra "why are we doing this" section.
Both me (sent 2 identical emails) and my work have the date as 31 Jan 2025.
Each come from different support staff names - I assume whichever underpaid support person sent yours has messed the date up!
This is a bit weird. I had both a private account and a business account with Bytemark.
They migrated my private account to iomart back in 2021 without any impact on the VM I had there. They did however screw up the control panel login and the invoicing for a while. They actually screwed that up so badly, that I had to call them on the phone because the ticketing system didn't work. But after that call they got everything working again.
I did recently receive two mails similar to the one you got. But both of those were concerning the business account and neither was about the private account.
@h2g2bob @beasts My notification said that BigV would be suspended on 31st October. Did they change the date or give different dates to different people?
