Glad it's not just me then because over the last three days I've seen one video and listened to one podcast where two different people said "clee" and I was starting to doubt myself.
We do say tooey and gooey though, but it seems very few (nut non-zero I promise you) say clee.
I don't think there's any logic to these things. clee is just not a nice sound.
